We are delighted to announce that construction is progressing well on our latest sustainable project near Boyle, County Roscommon. This architect designed ecological house has been developed with a strong commitment to sustainability, blending environmental sensitivity with a stunning modern design.
Having secured full planning permission from Roscommon County Council, we’re excited to see the build advancing as planned. Windows are currently being installed, which will frame the beautiful views of the River Boyle and Oakport Lake, bringing natural light and breathtaking scenery into the living spaces.
This innovative “upside down” design features bedrooms on the lower level and main living spaces above, maximizing the views over the lake. To integrate the home further into its natural surroundings, it has been thoughtfully embedded into the hillside, allowing the kitchen to have direct level access to the garden, merging indoor and outdoor spaces seamlessly.
Constructed with a sustainable timber frame, this house is designed to minimize its ecological footprint. Every detail has been carefully considered, from material selection to the layout, ensuring it serves as a comfortable, energy-efficient home while preserving the beauty of its unique landscape near Carrick-On-Shannon.
We’re happy to be working with the following companies on this project:
- Long life structures
- Tanner’s structural designs
