We’re excited to share that Clare County Council has granted full planning permission for our latest eco-build project, a one-off, architect designed house in Lahinch, Co. Clare. This new build is designed following Passivhaus principles to ensure maximum energy efficiency.
The house is cleverly designed to make optimal use of a sloped site, allowing for ample passive solar gains. By orienting the building to capture maximum sunlight, the design minimizes the need for artificial heating, enhancing the comfort and energy performance of the home. Large south-facing windows overlooking the garden are key to this design, allowing the winter sun to naturally warm the interior living spaces.
The compact design of the house not only lowers build costs but also aligns with our commitment to sustainable building practices. Eco-friendly materials and construction techniques reinforce the project’s sustainability. This architect designed house in Lahinch demonstrates how thoughtful design can create energy-efficient, comfortable homes in harmony with their environment, even on challenging sites.
